Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust selects Civica’s Managed CostMaster solution to enable end-to-end cost reporting
Civica has agreed a new contract with Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (TGICFT) for its cloud-based CostMaster solution.
The software will provide the trust with a clearer view of its cost data to better inform the board of finances and identify where cost savings can be implemented.
The trust, which serves a community of 250,000 people across Tameside and Glossop, chose Civica’s Managed CostMaster service to achieve significant cost savings and efficiencies, lower IT risk, and improve operational performance to better serve its patients.
The managed solution will help the trust make better use of resources relating to cost infrastructure and support.
Implementing a management solution allows the IT department to focus on the support required for frontline patient services for the ongoing support of the system.
Alongside providing clear, end-to-end cost reporting; the solution allows the trust to easily expand its processing power to meet its capacity needs; delivering best value in comparison to an on-premises server.
By hosting information in a secure managed cloud environment, the trust is also better protected against physical and cyber threats, as well as meeting both business continuity and resilience requirements.
Dawn Murphy, the trust’s finance business partner, said: “Due to the number of patients we serve daily, having a clear view of our activity and cost variation is vital.
“We need to be able to source the information required to make robust investment decisions and achieve the most-effective use of our resources.
