Indoor air quality improved in dental practices using air cleaners

Camfil air cleaning solutions used to improve working environment at Italian dental surgery

The CamCleaner 800, 2000 and 6000 from Camfil were used to enhance the working environment at a dental clinic in Italy

Camfil was contacted by an Italian client from the dental industry whose employees had complained of headaches, itchy eyes and, on occasion, a burning sensation in their throats.

Poor air quality affects both the health of the personnel and their performance. Bacteria, dust, viruses and harmful particles in the air may cause itchy eyes, headaches and a blocked nose.

Furthermore, it can also give rise to asthma and irritation of the respiratory tract.

The dental practice has no windows and the air within the building was affecting the health of the employees.

Camfil conducted a variety of air quality tests to measure the particle levels at various points within the building and outdoors. Upon further analysis, Camfil recommended the installation of the CamCleaner 800. Camfil air cleaners are used in dental practices across the world to improve the indoor air quality.

In this particular application, the CamCleaner was used to compensate the missing air changes, and to eliminate the smell and the symptoms caused by the disinfectants usually used in dentist studios.

After the first test with Camfil’s Aerotrack, the air cleaner was supplied to the client for a one-week trial, which delivered noticeable results. The symptoms claimed by the employees disappeared within hours of the CamCleaner being switched on and the practice purchased the CamCleaner system to continue maintaining the high level of indoor air quality.

Camfil ́s CamCleaner is patented and equipped with the most-efficient air filters. Thanks to the highly-efficient HEPA filter cartridge with a large filter area, the number of particles is dramatically reduced, and the long service life of the filter is achieved. You get a healthier work environment, more-efficient production, less dust and fewer harmful particles.
