Jotun Paints Europe Limited
Established in Norway over 90 years ago, the Jotun Paints business encompasses marine and protective coatings, decorative paints and powder coatings and is a global market leader.
For more than eight decades, Jotun’s penguin logo has been recognised as a symbol of quality, service and excellence by industry and end users worldwide, demonstrating the company’s commitment to exceed customers’ expectations associated with a brand leader.
The business is made up of 71 companies, 40 production facilities across all continents and agents and distributors in more than 70 countries. With over 7,000 employees and a turnover in excess of US$1.2 billion, it’s not hard to see why Jotun really does have it covered. Success has come through significant investment in the latest technology and materials which have enabled the company to develop, produce and market technically advanced coatings. And Jotun’s ability to deliver a broad range of coatings and paints ensures products are recommended for some of the world’s most prestigious and complex structures including the Eiffel Tower, Petronas towers in Malaysia, Nile City Complex and the impressive new Burj Khalifa building in Dubai – the world’s tallest building.
Jotun’s UK head office is in Flixborough, North Lincolnshire, where there is a manufacturing facility capable of producing 40 million litres of paint per year. For the past 20 years, the UK division has focused on the trade exterior woodcare markets, with an experienced specification team who work closely with architects, specifiers and local authorities. It’s on the back of this and other initiatives that Jotun sees the potential in the UK to develop and extend its position in the professional painting and decorating market through a range of high quality products that capitalise on the company’s environmental credentials and reflect the rich Scandinavian heritage.
